Six Word Memoir
26 02 2008I’ve been tagged. And even in my sleep-deprived state (I barely slept at all last night — more on that later) I’m inclined to try it. So here it is:
Lost: self. If found, please return.
Gayle, Jeannine, Mary, Diane, Ren — I’ve tagged you guys (but of course feel free to ignore without explanation!).
For those of you’ve I’ve tagged (and for those who are curious), here are the rules:
Borrowing, with permission from bookbabie, the following fabulous idea:
What would you say if you had to summarize your life in only six words? Bookbabie got the idea from a book written by Larry Smith and Rachel Fershleiser, Not Quite What I was Expecting: Six Word Memoirs by Famous and Obscure. It is a compilation based on the story that Hemingway once bet ten dollars that he could sum up his life in six words. His words were- For Sale: baby shoes, never worn.
Here are the rules:
1. Write your own six word memoir
2. Post it on your blog and include a visual illustration if you’d like
3. Link to the person that tagged you in your post and to this original post if possible so we can track it as it travels across the blogosphere
4. Tag five more blogs with links
5. And don’t forget to leave a comment on the tagged blogs with an invitation to play!
Thanks to Lynn Doiron for tagging me for this!

Like your memoir, I think most moms in particular have been there, thanks for playing
I liked yours alot. Sorry about the tagging. But, glad you played along.
Done.
I keep forgetting to tell you how great your blog looks!
Dear Cati,
Thanks for the tag! I might not post this on the blog, but I thought I’d give you mine anyway. I stole it from an essay I wrote for the Ecotone blog. It has to do with the fact that I was born with a lot of weird health problems and refers to a Bible passage about being “fearfully and wonderfully made.”
Fearfully made, yes. Wonderfully made? Wondering.
Hugs, Jeannine
Hi Jeannine —
Thanks for sharing that!
It’s been fun to read everyone’s. It was definitely challenging to come up with a “memoir” in only six words. Lucky you, you already had a readymade one in that essay!
Hugs to you, too!
Cati
