My free time today has been limited, plus I’ve been working on a new poem, but I didn’t want to let the day pass without posting something for National Poetry Month. So, here’s a link to my favorite Marie Ponsot poem, “The Story After the Story“. As a wife and mother it’s one that’s stuck with me.
The photo was taken during our last trip to Las Vegas, at the Mandalay Bay shark exhibit. For those who worry about taking their children with them to Vegas, there’s definitely no shortage of kid-friendly activities. I can’t stand the thought of being away from them for that long anyway, so it’s nice to be able have something to do besides laps around the casino floor.
